Product Review Part I: My Samsung Dishwasher


Indesit DI-450

First, the dishwasher is "totally integrated". This means that the device is designed to be hidden or disguised as one of the cupboards in the kitchen rather than independent. This device is not high-end is more of a budget unit level, as they say "You get what you pay. "Dishwashers are generally available in two sizes, the first standard, and the second is slim. The particular model is "Slimline" and is designed to fit in a standard box of 500 mm. In relation to the size of the buyers should be aware that these are designed for light to moderate use and not really suitable for large families. The dishwasher is marketed as a place setting nine. I can be wrong with this, but as I have understood that this means that the dishwasher before a dinner service for nine people. If this is the case all I can say is "best of luck." It is a bit like "how many people can get into a phone box." If your dishes, etc are all a standard size of regulation that may be possible without But in the real world "just not going to happen!"

Interior design

In general the design of the trays are well designed to maximize the available space. Loading the dishwasher is pretty easy and controls are easy to access and operate on the top of the door opening. Loading cleaner / polish is easier to access and strait forward. Not so easy is the salt compartment can be difficult and require some contortionist to access training without half of what ends up in soil dishwasher. The big disappointment for me is the fixed top shelf. It is true that rarely requires can be very useful to raise or lower the height of the upper tray to accommodate bigger items. Unfortunately this is not possible with the Indesit machine, however this is again a reflection on the price.

I have no idea how these official figures are calculated. Officially it is rated "B", having said that I found the performance Wash to be very good. By far the wash performance results are independent of the quality of detergent used. Very very occasionally items that have been baked the need to go on a second attempt, however this is the exception not the rule.

Washing programs

There are five different wash programs the machine is as follows: Heavy intensive washing dirty laundry including fired ceramics with food. Standard washing, this program is designed for medium plates stained with pots and pans, etc. To date I have never used this program Eco washing ass does a great job. Eco is basically washing every day washing. This program will remove all but the oven more force on objects. Quick Wash, very similar to that of a washing machine. This is designed for the type of things usually shot in the cup dishes, plates and cups, etc. Soak, I must admit I have never used this or really the point of view of it. The idea is that as the name suggests Soak dishes before washing.

Drying performance

Drying in the machine is rated as "A" in actual use, I Drying found to be very good. Again, to some extent is helped by the quality of polish. With the exception of the "Quick Wash" program, each thing comes out dry and relatively fast ( Kaiser a 501). The machine uses what is referred to as residual drying. A bit of trivia I picked up in the service is that dishwashers use two forms of drying. The first is "Residual" and the second for "Hot Air". The hot air system is to re-heat the air inside the cabinet and blow inland. Although this method is faster, is less energy efficient as it is in essence the same process that is running a dryer. Residual drying uses the heat generated during the wash cycle, although this requires more time, much more energy efficient. Presumably, opt for this method goes a long way to classification "A" the machine is for efficiency energy.

Criticism

Only two niggly minor points that are attacked with this machine. As mentioned above, the first is the fixed height of the top-loading platform. The second, the level of noise produced by the machine during wash cycle. I would not say it was too excessive, but again is not what is said quiet either. With these two points, however, needs to take into account the initial cost of the device. If you want calm and flexible, you have to expect to pay more.

Guarantee

The standard warranty is 12 months parts and labor. There is an option to take additional cover at a reasonable price Indesit direct. Regardless of what you pay for a device, things can go wrong. I had to call an engineer to the machine about six months in use since the machine had stopped taking in water. I must admit that I was very pleasantly surprised with their level of professionalism in regard to after-sales service. When you call I was expecting the "Well, we can go for another three weeks" scenario. On the contrary, they managed to engineer out three days later. The engineer was on time, courteous and had the machine running again in minutes what my view was a first class service.

Opinion

Would I recommend this device? Depending on your budget I would say yes. If you are on a tight budget and want to specifically integrated, this does the job. On the other hand if you can stretch your budget, eliminating criticism over two worth the extra cost. Finally thanks for reading my comment, it is possible that bored the pants off some, but is expected to be useful to others.
