Stainless steel sinks are known to be utilitarian rather than aesthetic. These accessories are some great options for kitchens because of its durability and functionality in general. These excellent features are sufficient compensation its lack of visual value, in addition to its finish, of course. And to ensure that its role will last as long as broad aesthetic functionality, here are some maintenance and care tips.

Common Things to Do

Each time you use your steel sink steel, make sure you rinse after. Do not settle for spray cleaners, but add a little elbow grease. After spraying a cleaning agent safe and recommended, rub to a uniform distribution with a clean cloth under running water. This ensures that food waste and other harmful deposits will be deleted.

After rinsing, do not forget to dry the stainless steel sink, of course. This is especially important if the water is made from distilled water. Distilled water contains salts and minerals that may be left behind once the water evaporates. These deposits can cause water spots, which can be removed through, fortunately, a little white vinegar.

In order to ensure that the sink is not damaged during the cleaning process, use a product approved cleaning. A soft or ultra soft abrasive cleaner for pipes is often advised. You do not have to do this at the weekly maintenance day is enough to keep your sink to lose its brightness and overall quality. Make sure, however, that follow the grain of the sink marks when cleaning.

Typical Don'ts

As mentioned above, follow the markings when debugging the sink. This will ensure that the finish will be maintained, especially if the sink is made with fine polish lines.

Also, never allow to dry cleaners on the surface of the sink. These often contain cleaning solutions products harmful chemicals that can severely damage the quality of steel. While they are not restricting its use, be sure to keep them away and dispose of waste after each use.

The same is true for strong and chlorine bleach. The granting of these chemicals to sit on the toilet for a long period can damage seriously the quality of stainless steel. An alternative would be to use thinking and a bucket of water, tandem.

Finally, to further ensure the preservation the finish of your stainless steel sink, never use steel wool to clean it. This cleansing scrub contains small fibers that tend to fall into the sink unnoticed oxide and possibly damaging the steel over it. Instead, opt for synthetic or nylon pads that are safe and gentle on stainless steel.
